Yes! All of our CDL study resources, including practice tests, handbook information, and instructional content, are completely free to access. Our mission is to help aspiring commercial drivers succeed, regardless of their financial situation.
CDL Study Buddy provides study materials, practice tests, and educational resources to help you prepare for the CDL knowledge tests. We do not currently provide hands-on ELDT training or behind-the-wheel instruction.
For required ELDT training, you'll need to enroll with a FMCSA-registered training provider. Visit our ELDT Training page to learn more about finding approved providers.
We cannot schedule CDL tests on your behalf. You'll need to contact your state's Department of Motor Vehicles or licensing agency directly to schedule your knowledge and skills tests. Visit your state's DMV website or call their CDL division for appointment information.
Our practice tests are based on the official CDL handbook and cover the same topics as the actual exam, but they are not the exact questions you'll see on test day. Each state's testing agency uses its own question bank.
However, by studying the CDL handbook thoroughly and practicing with our tests, you'll be well-prepared for any questions that appear on your actual CDL exam.
We strive for accuracy in all our content, but errors can occur. Please contact us using the form above or email us directly at info@2025.cdlstudybuddy.com with details about the error, including the page URL and a description of the issue. We appreciate your help in maintaining quality resources.
Our materials are based on federal CDL regulations that apply across all states. However, we also provide information about state-specific requirements where applicable, particularly for Utah.
We recommend downloading and studying your state's official CDL handbook in addition to using our resources. Visit our CDL Handbook page for links to state-specific manuals.
